Shrines to Paradise explores why people travel, and why and how residents and visitors to Hawai‘i “connect” and “disconnect.” Director Yukie Shiroma collaborates with Native Hawaiian and local artists to create a full-evening extravaganza of dance, theatre, song, and storytelling, transforming Honolulu’s City Hall into a carnival-like setting.

Presented in partnership with Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts with funding from the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
